I came back to cycling as my boys grew older so we could do something together and go out and explore our great county. It was on one of our trips when we spotted Richard coaching kids at the SSC, so we popped in for a look see and a chat. Next thing you know the boys were training weekly with Richard and im stood waggling my chin with the other parents. Then the adult training started, how could i say no ? So it was new bikes all round and our road bike story began, and being pushed by the kids we tried new avenues of cycling having only been into Mountain biking before. So with all at the clubs help, my older son went from being a cat 4 rider to Cat 3 in just 5 races and the younger son rode his first 100 miler aged 11.
We love being part of this club, as i feel it has something for everybody.
If your looking to get involved with a club, its a great place to start.
See you all at the SSC
