It’s not all hills and sweat and banter on the B Ride you know. Often we have learned conversations about the pertinant issues of the day and maintain a high* standard of cultural awareness. This Sunday we exercise the latter with a merry jaunt eastwards to the Solihull hinterlands and a loop around Packwood House and a visit to its NT cafe.

The route, as linked below, is much flatter than previous weeks and contains only moderate climbs over its length. Bear in mind this is a Fondo length ride (over 60 miles) so some effort will be needed in order to reach the cake. There are a few places en route to avail ourselves of further refreshement should it be required.

Enough blathering. It heads out via Droitwich, Feckenham & Studley, avoiding the ghettos of Henley in Arden before arriving at the cafe. The return leg is mainly country lanes to Barnt Green, Bromsgrove and home.

What better way to hunt mythical, and wholly imaginary, Easter eggs.
