The WFCRC Gravel Pedallers Are GO!!
With the exponential growth in popularity of gravel riding in recent years it is high time that WFCRC offered an organised ride dedicated to this exciting new variant on our sport – and so we have!
Hot in the tyre tracks of the Sunday Pedallers and Midweek Pedallers comes the Gravel Pedallers, a new group ride offering a wide variety of multi-surface adventures of varying lengths and levels of difficulty. Led by experienced WFCRC members with routes specially curated to provide maximum enjoyment for riders at all levels, the nature of gravel riding makes it very inclusive, as it’s all about the journey, not the speed. Quality cafe stops will of course still feature and if anything the opportunities for social riding and sheer fun for all should be even greater away from busy roads, amid the bridleways and hidden paths of our lovely local countryside. You might get a bit muddy though…
The inaugural ride takes place this Sunday, December 1st and you can find details HERE. It is envisaged that the Gravel Pedallers will venture forth as part of the regular structure of Sunday rides (details of all our club rides can be found HERE), but hopefully there will be many other outings as time, light, weather and opportunity dictate.
