New WFCRC Club Ride Announced Previous item WFCRC Ten-Mile Time Trial Next item WFCRC Road Race, June 9th

WFCRC is delighted to announce the launch of a new club group ride – GRUPO RAPIDO.

As the name implies, this is a fast-paced, non-stop club ride, designed principally to provide high quality base training miles for those preparing to race or compete in triathlons, but of course open to any WFCRC members who wish to take part. For those who remember the old WFCRC ‘A’ Ride, this is effectively a re-imagining of that.

The organiser is Clive Heath who will lead the initial rides but in due course it would be ideal if other members could take turns at leading / organising.

It will follow the same format on a weekly basis, departing from Stourport Sports Club at 0900 on Sundays and will follow various routes which will be posted on the club’s Facebook page beforehand, all of which will be around 50 miles over varying terrain. The projected average pace is at least 19mph, quite possibly more depending on participants, conditions and the parcours.

The first GRUPO RAPIDO outing is scheduled for SUNDAY JUNE 30th. For those riders who are able, this should be a useful and enjoyable addition to their regular training schedule and the club hopes that Clive’s initiative will be supported by the membership.
