Can we all please put our hands together, raise a pint or shout ‘chapeau!’ to our very own Mike Race. He has decided, after a not insignificant amount of years, to step back from the WFCRC committee though will still remain a valued member of our club for many years to come.
He has been instrumental in keeping racing alive in the region and has been a key organiser of many races both on and off-road. One highlight would certainly be organising the first road race in the region after COVID, when the spotlight was on Mike really shone. His passion is certainly unrivalled and he’ll continue to be an advocate of cycling as he now helps youngsters in school have their first adventures on two wheels.
