What a great evening!
Thank you very much to all who supported this annual event, in which we celebrate the achievements of our competitive cyclists and also those of our cycling colleagues whose exploits and company add that extra frisson of enjoyment to our velo adventures!
Extra special thanks to those who went above and beyond, to bring this event together:
- Our very special guest Max Hinds, taking time out from his training schedule to join us again, present all the youth trophies and bring us up to date on his cycling career with Ineos Grenadiers
- Everyone who donated to the huge range and quality of raffle prizes
- Stu Cooke and family for providing (FOC!!) a simply magnificent buffet that even 55+ hungry cyclists and youngsters couldn’t polish off
- Ian M Bunch for the event photography
- Our Chairman Mark Parrish for his Wogan-esque MC’ing skills
- Kara and Tim Tranter for organising and presenting the youth racing awards
- Dom D’Angelo for creating yet more simply brilliant trophies (two new ones for this year, the Sir Ernest Shackleton and the Good Shepherd awards)
- …and of course to the members, mums, dads and kids that make WFCC the lovely, friendly club that it is
It was wonderful to see all the various sectors of the club represented, including a contingent from our amazing Limitless group as well as the various club rides, the racers (of all ages!) the Gravellers and more.
