Bio
I have cycled all my life and in my youth while living the Forest of Dean i spent a large majority of my time on the MTB trails on my doorstep. However i did not purchase my first road bike until 2015 which was also when i joined Wyre Forest CRC.
I joined the club as i was no longer able to commit to rowing (which i had done for several years) due to having a young family at home and the time constraints that it brings, so i got back on my bike all be it now a road bike as it gave me freedom that rowing couldn’t give me and it allowed me to ‘pop out’ when ever i had a spare hour or so.
I have not looked back, the club is the friendliest sports club i have ever been a member of and i have been a member of a several clubs across several sports over the years.
With this in mind and having spent a few years with the club i wanted to get involved more at a club level and so began to look at the possibility of coaching.
I am now a level 2 qualified British Cycling Coach and help the great coaching team here. We have a great coaching plan which helps riders at all ages and abilities, and i also help with the club social rides on Thursdays and Sundays and can be found most Saturdays down the cycle track during WFCRC track time.
See you soon
