Round 3 Great Witley

Round 3 saw a change of scenery as the midweek TT moved away from the flattish Ryeland course to a more lumpy affair at Great Witley. On a surprising calm evening there were some good times from a number of riders, especially some of the junior riders and Great Witley first timers. Quickest on the night was David Briggs, fresh from cycling round the Scottish islands. WFCRC rider time below full riders times on midweek TT page.

Round 4 Pearl Lane

Round 4 saw a surprisingly good turnout on the Pearl Lane course, despite it being school holidays and a particularly damp and miserable evening, which resulted in some particularly challenging riding conditions.

The outstanding ride of the day came from U16 rider Charlie Genner, riding on a ride bike and once again proving his love for the hills.

However, the evening was marred by the serious crash suffered by David Briggs on the fast descent into Dick Brook which resulted in a dislocated shoulder and broken collarbone. Despite this David amazingly finished the last few miles of the race and still posted a sub 44 minute time. Chapeau David!

Also a huge thanks to everyone who helped with the incident on the night and I am pleased to report that David is now home from hospital and beginning his recovery and should be back just in time for the hill climb season.
