On the 29th June four club members completed an annual ride to London. Tim Gibbs and son Joe and Ian Bunch and son Nate set off at 5am from Kidderminster, arriving after 9h50m of cycling. The route went via Droitwich, Alcester, Shipston, past Oxford to Wallingford, Reading and along the Thames valley, past Windsor and Heathrow to Trafalgar Square.
For the youths to complete a 150 mile ride is a huge achievement, more so on a very hot day (32 degrees near Windsor) and into a constant easterly headwind.
Joe and Nate were also very confident and mature whilst riding through the centre of London which is daunting even as a adult. Both looked like they’d just ridden down to the track having hardly broken sweat. Chapeau lads
