The Long Good Saturday is Aprils’ Fondo fun. 115km to celebrate Nate’s 15th birthday. (15km + 100km extra for fun). It’s a loop of finely crafted undulations and stunning scenery. The first 50km is relatively easy going, up through Kinver and Claverley. Picturesque lanes take us into the Severn Gorge at Coalport before we climb up to Broseley and onto Much Wenlock for a cafe stop. Turning southwards we head through Bourton, Monkhopton and Neenton before diving down into the Wyre Forest. Up and over the top to Heightington and the descent of Hurtle Hill and the run into Stourport.
There is climbing involved, grades up to 15% in places, but the majority of the steepest are between 50-70km.
