Event Navigation
Once again a Sunday calls and the the B ready themselves for adventure in the near shires. This week featuring the infamous (to me at least) Black Pig ride. This was the first ride to be cancelled when we first went into lockdown all those moons ago. We have tested the route in awful weather since but it’s only right that the joy of it is properly passed on to the wider cohort of B heroes.
The route itself is not going to stress you unduly. It is a fairly steady 50 miler from the club via lanes to Elmbridge, Wychbold and Hanbury as we wind our way to Feckenham. The Black Pig Cafe is in the hinterland of Inkberrow, which we pass on a rare downhill post cafe run (you deserve it). The return leg takes us through Himbleton and Droitwich to the split point on the A450 near Shenstone.
The forecast looks changeable so be prepared with suitable clothing and lights if possible.
As has become post lockdown protocol, the ride will likely split into two groups on the road due to the numbers involved. This also helps with service at cafes, dealing with two smaller groups is often faster than one large group. There are no restrictions on which particular group you choose to ride with.
