B75 Flyford (76.7km) 9
March 1 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
To celebrate the anniversary of the iconic Aun-tea Rita-Gate, (when a group of hardy riders were treated like cakeless refugees in a tale of odd muddy substances and stranger customer service) we have an annual ride past enabling us to show our disregard through the medium of finger gestures. This quaint pastime is great family fun and draws spectators from around the globe (well Stourport). The route was adapted to take in the equally curious Twisted Spoon as the cafe of choice.
This easily graded route winds its way from the club through Hartlebury and Elmbridge, cutting a path through the countryside to Feckenham and onto Flyford in the Piddle. After the gesturing ceremony we had to the cafe at Upton Snodsbury ( real place).
We return via Broughton Hackett and Crowle and through Droitwich back towards Stourport.
This route has been done on a singlespeed so that tells you a lot about the amount of gearing and hills. No excuses not to go fast.
