Hello-hurrah, what a nice day, for the Eton Trifles
Hello-hurrah, I hope rain doesn’t stop play, with the Eton Trifles
As Paul Weller aptly wrote, in days of yore before the B existed. Never fear Paul, our Sunday run has all the hallmarks of Etonian privilege as our merry group of cycling toffs make scourging progress along the same roads that ordinary folk travel. Up hill and down dales, past ones country residence and bespoke orangery to settle at our lakeside cabin for tea and tiffin.
So, in summary, depart from the club, head up through Wolverley and Kinver, Sugar Loaf, Hagley and Belbroughton before the descent to the Boat Shack at Upton Warren. the return leg is an easy roll through the lanes to finish in an over inflated sense of achievement back in Stourport.
Suitable attire will be necessary, not because of the weather, but because we have standards.
