Could you spare a few moments of your time and take a simple 30 second test, which could save a young local boys life?
Oscar Saxelby-Lee, who has only just turned five, has an aggressive form of leukemia and his family have been given only 3 months to find a donor for a life-saving blood stem cell transplant.
Oscar’s School Pitmaston Primary School (St Johns Worcs) will open their doors on for the whole weekend of Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 from 9am to 3pm and are asking anyone to come, bring family members and friends – anyone between 17 and 55 years of age and in general good health can come into school, fill in the registration forms (they will help you do that). Then give a sample in the form of a mouth swab, which is sent off to see if anyone is eligible or a match.
We could even incorporate the school as a stop into a club cycle ride, should this help.
