First Lady was Jenny York Mid Shropshire Wheelers in 52:25, 20.60 mph. Phil Hunt took pleasure in taking 58 seconds out of his brother Andy. The course had a few ups and downs with the only serious climb being Hermitage Hill near the end which most riders tackled without too much distress. The road surfaces were average to good and an 8 mph Easterly wind seemed to make pedaling equally hard on some sections and easy on others. I got held up in queues of traffic at most of the roundabouts. "A strong WFCRC contingent kick off their road season on Saturday in the first Midland DC event of the season, the Wrekinsport Hilly TT which is also the first event in the Midland SPOCO series. The event is over 18 miles on the K21/18 course (AKA The Rabbit Run) which includes the nasty climb of the Hermitage! First man off for WFCRC is Ian "Big E" Connolly, followed by Dave "Hard as nails" Wood, Andy "Mad as a mongoose" Convery, "Gnarly" Norbert  Wysocki, "Fast" Phil Hunt and David "The gentleman" Briggs.
